The basic configuration is the core of the Boxmat Modular solution. Even in this version, the modular box making machine allows for precise longitudinal cutting and creasing of corrugated board sheets. It is the perfect starting point for creating basic packaging, which can later be expanded with additional modules and functions.

SLOTTING

Slotting tools enable precise cutting of slots with different slot widths.

Slotting Module (MS 8) – Standard solution for most box styles. Provides cutting precision for 3- and 5-layer board.
Slotting Module (MS 12) for 7-layer board – Dedicated for heavy-duty, 7-layer material. Creates slots tailored for thick corrugated board boxes.

Using both modules in one setup eliminates the need for retooling when working with thin and thick blanks, saving time and boosting productivity.

LONGITUDINAL TOOLS

Longitudinal tools perform precise cutting and creasing along the full sheet length.

Standard tools – Easy to use, designed for basic cutting and creasing tasks.
Individually driven tools – Allow faster tool positioning and instant format changes. Perfect for frequent changeovers and short-run production where time and flexibility matter most.

Using both tool sets together means no retooling between thin and thick blanks, which saves time and increases efficiency.

DIE-CUTTING

Die-cutting modules allow for precise cutting of openings, shapes, handles, perforations, and other structural elements in corrugated board, e.g. for FEFCO 427 or 422.

It is possible to mount 2 or 4 die-cutters on a single module (with maximum die dimensions using two MD1 modules of 270 mm x 2000 mm – depending on cutting line length and board quality):

1 Die-Cutting Module (MD1) – Compact solution for basic die-cutting operations. Perfect for standard projects without complex patterns.
2 Die-Cutting Modules (MD1) – Greater flexibility, grouping of dies, and the ability to use large additional dies, especially for more complex packaging structures. Recommended for advanced production.
Rotary Die-Cutter (MRDC) – available soon*
The best choice for producing die-cut boxes and non-standard
shapes. Ensures top precision and efficiency, especially in
large-volume runs and demanding projects.

CROSS-CUTTING

The cross-cutting module ensures accurate sheet cutting in the cross direction, trimming corrugated board to the desired length.

Standard tools – Enable precise cross-cutting when the blank is stopped. The cutting line can be freely programmed (e.g. for access flaps).
INLINE Module – Enables fast cross-cutting without stopping the blank, significantly increasing efficiency. Perfect for high-volume production.

GLUE FLAP CREASING

A creasing roller flattens the glue flap at the joint, ensuring strong and even bonding. This eliminates wall bulges, increases packaging durability, and makes stacking boxes into stable piles easier.

GLUING OPTIONS

The gluing process ensures durable and precise bonding of packaging elements.

Standard Glue – A precise cold glue applicator that applies controlled glue onto the box flap in one cycle. Ensures effective bonding at standard production speeds.
INLINE Module – available soon*
Inline gluing unit enabling continuous glue application without stopping the box production cycle. Ideal for serial production – increases efficiency, shortens cycle time, and minimizes downtime.

PRINTING

Printing modules allow for applying graphics, pictograms, markings or codes directly onto the surface of corrugated cardboard packaging.

JETBOX DIGITAL PRINTING –Modern technology for high-quality INK JET printing without the need for flexographic plates. An excellent choice for personalization, barcodes, QR codes, numbering, or short runs with diverse graphics.
MINI FLEXO Module ( 1 or 2 heads ) –A flexible setup with the option to mount one or two MINI FLEXO heads. With two heads, simultaneous printing in two different areas is possible – perfect for small pictograms, instructions or coding.
FLEXO Module – available soon*
A classic solution for large-scale sequential printing. Delivers high-quality, durable, and resistant prints – ideal for bigger graphics or logos.
