Corrugated Board Feeders for Boxmat Machines
A corrugated board feeder affects the operator’s working pace, the stability of sheet feeding and the time needed to prepare the next production job. With Boxmat machines, you can choose a feeder to match the type of corrugated board, sheet format, loading method and production scale — from standard stack feeding, vacuum-assisted feeding and fanfold feeding to automatic pallet feeding or handling large, heavy corrugated sheets.
Available Corrugated Board Feeders for Boxmat Machines
Standard Feeder (STD)
The default corrugated board feeder included with every Boxmat machine. It allows operators to feed blanks from a stack and transfer them accurately into the machine.
Vacuum Feeder (VF)
A vacuum feeder for stable corrugated sheet handling. The vacuum system holds the sheet during feeding, helping to reduce material shifting, board warping and the risk of jams at the machine infeed.
Fanfold Feeder (FF)
A fanfold feeder for corrugated board supplied in a continuous folded stack. It allows the material to be fed from fanfold board instead of individual sheets. Depending on the configuration, it can feed from 1 to 4 fanfold streams at the same time.
Lightweight Feeder (LWF)
An automatic scissor-lift corrugated board feeder that picks blanks directly from a pallet. It reduces manual sheet handling at the feeding table and makes work easier when production jobs change frequently.
Heavyweight Feeder (HWF)
A heavy-duty corrugated board feeder for large, heavy blanks made from high-grammage board. It can work with a hydraulic lift and roller conveyors that support stack positioning before the material is fed into the machine.
Modular Feeder System with Quick Connection
Boxmat corrugated board feeders can be selected as optional equipment and changed depending on the type of production. The same machine can work with standard sheet feeding, a vacuum feeder, a fanfold feeding system or a pallet feeder that picks blanks directly from the pallet.
Most feeders, except for the Heavyweight Feeder, use a plug & play quick connection system based on the Igus Module Connect. Modular connectors and guides allow power supply, control and pneumatics to be connected to the base machine without lengthy installation.
This means the feeder can be selected when ordering the machine or added later when the format, board type or feeding method changes. The Heavyweight Feeder is configured individually and installed by Zemat service.
